Power to the 10th Amendment!

The Long Lost Constitution

The Long Lost Constitution

Alaska has passed a state sovereignty bill that states the following:

“Be it resolved that the Alaska State Legislature hereby claims sovereignty for the state under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.

Be it further resolved that this resolution serves as Notice and Demand to the federal government to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers.”

(Click the picture for the associated article)  This is an important move by Alaska and its Governor who have decided that the Federal Government is over reaching its Constitutional authority.  If the Fed continues to pass legislation that has associated monetary policies, they are telling the states how to do business.

What does that mean?  Let me explain.  When our “leaders” passed the myriad bailouts they attached certain monies for the states for specific social programs of their choosing.  Now, you could argue that is was a good thing but here is the problem:  The states are left holding the bag when the stimulus money goes away.  Get it?  Take South Carolina:  They take the money and increase the amount of money that qualifying personnel get in their state.  The bail out is good for 2 years.  What happens after 2 years?  The checks decrease if South Carolina doesn’t fund the increases.

The Federal Government does not have the authority to direct state budgets.  Read the Constitution folks.  It may not be around for much longer.

Palin to feds: Alaska is sovereign state.

House Resolution 1018

House Resolution 1018

I just heard about House Resolution 1018.  America!  Wake Up!  This is vital to you and me and this legislation needed to be passed right now.  And the great thing about it was that we, the people, get the benefits of this great act for a bargain price:  $700 Million.  That’s right, its not even a Billion Dollars so no big deal.

What?  What did you ask?  What is the bill for?  Well, it is the American Mustang Act.  We, the people, need wild mustang horses so our Representatives have dedicated $700 Million of our tax dollars for land, food and yes….wait for it….Horse CONTRACEPTIVES!!!

Google it.  We are funding horse Contraceptives!  Thank God for our representatives.  What would we do without them?  AHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Eugenics on the Rise

Posted by conservativesensei on July 22, 2009

I came across this article the other day about a famous British conductor and his wife who committed suicide in Switzerland.  Now, I know that some of my more liberal friends out there will tell me that it was their right.  We can discuss that some time but what is more important about this particular episode is that they were “assisted” by medical personnel in Switzerland.  Yes friends, we are talking about assisted suicide here.

I am a big believer in a person’s right to make decisions for themselves and for government to stay out of it but assisted suicide is different.  If we, as a culture, say it is alright to have someone help you kill yourself, where will we draw the line?  What if you have a guardian and they have total power of attorney?  Perhaps you have a “unwanted” ailment and it is decided for the betterment of society, you need to die?

Eugenics runs in cycles and it is making a come back.  It was very popular in the early 1900’s with so called intellectuals, during Hitler’s reign and you hear it discussed in present days under the guise of selective reproduction.  Take note, this practice will only lead down a very dark road and it shouldn’t be allowed.

More Calls to Drop the Dollar

Posted by conservativesensei on July 13, 2009

The Future?

The Future?

Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev agained called for a new world currency at the recent G8 Summit.  He not only called for it, he had an sample coin ready to show the anxious audience.  (Photo)  The coin and the associated movement even has a website that can be found here.  This isn’t a change that is happening today but the tide is turning for the US Dollar and with the dollar goes the United States.

Doubters and enlightened leftards of the world can continue to doubt this but it continues to raise its ugly head.  Japan, a staunch US allie has begun to “discuss” diversifying its currency away from the US Dollar.  Be afraid…be very afraid.

Everyone Could Use a Little Common Sense.

Posted by conservativesensei on July 13, 2009

I recently finished Glenn Beck’s new book Common Sense, inspired by Thomas Paine’s work of the same title.  Not to be too excessive but simply put – OUTSTANDING!

It is a very short read.  I know many of you don’t do a lot of reading and most certainly wouldn’t take the time to read something as political as this, however, you need to.  Mr. Beck is very fond of talking about Common Sense and how many American’s aren’t showing any with their voting habits.  This book is a small glimpse into what he thinks America needs to do to get back to showing some common sense.

Take the time to read this great book.  It will open your eyes to how far YOUR government has strayed and what we need to do to take it back.

Is Obama More Catholic Than the Pope?

Posted by conservativesensei on July 13, 2009

So, I’m pretty sure that Newsweek has gotten this wrong;  They have stated in the attached article that BHO is more Catholic than the Pope.  They justify this insalenly, stupid assertion by citing BHO’s appearance at Notre Dame and how a majority of Catholics voted for him in his victorious presidential bid.  Two points:  While some protests did happen, most of the student body welcomed BHO to Notre Dame much like they would a rock star…you don’t really understand what he stands for but he is famous, so what the heck.  Second point, a majority of Catholics in the United States did vote for him.  You can’t argue against that point.

Having cleared the air, let’s get to the point:  Is Obama more Catholic than the Pope?  The answer, NO.  His obvious support by some Catholics in the United States doesn’t show how “Catholic” Obama is, it shows how Un-Catholic Americans have become.

I’m not Catholic and I don’t pretend to speak for the Catholic Church.  What I speak of is obvious truths.  The Pope, The P-O-P-E is the head of the Catholic Church.  Anyone want to argue that point?  Good.  He speaks for the Church as does his priests (be they Bishops, Friars, Pawns, Rooks….I told you, I’m not Catholic).  If the Catholic Flock does not support the Pope, I say they do not support their Church.

Americans are slowly slipping away from their religious roots and the overall belief in God.  The Catholics can not be excluded from this group.  Don’t believe me, ask a self-described Christian (pick your favorite flavor) if they voted for BHO.  Ask them.  If they say yes, ask them how they can support a person that is so obviously Pro-Abortion.  Anything that comes out of their mouth at that point is mute.

Obama isn’t Catholic and it looks like many American’s aren’t either.

The Real Tragedy of Michael Jackson’s Death

Posted by conservativesensei on July 9, 2009

I am a child of the 80’s and can remember the first time that I saw Michael Jackson moonwalk.  Incredible!  Thriller was and still is one of the greatest albums of all time.  Having got that out of the way, let me explain what the real tragedy of Michael Jackson’s death is:  That anyone cares.

Aside from the cult/morbid fascination that Americans have with celebrities and the train-wreck that was the life of Michael Jackson, he death should have no real meaning to anyone outside his close personal friends and family.  The Main Stream Media has further eroded their tarnished, if not destroyed, reputation as an organization that actually cares about news that matters.

I will give you an example; The US Armed Forces have started a new offensive in Afghanistan against the Taliban forces that have infested that country. Anyone want to give me a name of a service member that has sacrificed his life for that cause since Michael Jackson died?  Any idea what the status of that fight is?  We, as a country, need to move away from idolizing stars and athletes and start appreciating what is important in life.  If you want to escape from it all, read a book.

Humor in DC: Read a Bill Before They Sign It? Please!

Posted by conservativesensei on July 9, 2009

Discovered a great Blog today through the magical world of Twitter.  This is a young lady who is just trying to understand how and why her country is being taken away from her.  She has decided to not stand by and watch it go, she is taking action.

In her Blog she talks about a recent CNS News interview with a ranking Democratic Congressman in DC who laughed at the idea of politicians actually read legislation before they sign it.  He laughed!  What arrogance!  If legislation is too complicated and it would take too much time to read perhaps they should slow down and do their homework.  These people work for us.  Do your job!

“Gays are the New Blacks”

Posted by conservativesensei on July 7, 2009

I have seen and heard this argument from many gay-rights advocates explaining that “Gays, Lesbians, Transgendered, Confused, Depressed in the Morning after too much Wine….Sorry, you get the point.  ”Gays are the New Black?”.  How absolutely ridiculous.  The article below highlights a Pastor in Washington state who has called BO to the carpet.  In a recent speech to a Gay Rights group he said the following:

“On Monday, President Obama told a gathering of homosexuals at the White House that he is aware that many of them “don’t believe progress has come fast enough,” and compared their struggles to those of blacks during the Civil Rights Movement.”

I was pleasently surprised to see a black Pastor step up and highlight some truths about BO that the Leftard Media ignores completely.  What you ask?  Let me explain:

Barack Obama is only half black.

He was raised by his white mother and white grandmother after his father abondoned him.

These facts are relevent because he has no black experience to make this comparison.  Read the article before you comment.  I know some of the folks that stop by just blast my comments but read the article.  It will open your eyes and it just might make you question some of your assumptions.

Pastor: Obama has no black experience OneNewsNow.com.
